Meet the Team

Brandi has been a technician at Herkert Family Eye Care since May 2017. After working many years in retail, eye care has been a completely new environment for her. She has gained a certification in wedding planning from Ashworth College and is now studying to be a surgical technologist. Brandi is an avid concert-goer and enjoys making home décor and hanging out with friends in her free time. At the end of the day, she loves coming home to her boyfriend and two cats, Iris and Luna.

Shelley has been at Herkert Family Eye Care in some capacity since it opened in 1998. After a rewarding career in nursing, she now is our office manager and optician. Shelley enjoys the art of choosing frames, the science of lenses and optics, and the time spent meeting new patients and catching up with current patients. When not at the office, she enjoys running, camping, and hanging with her family. Her greatest accomplishment is being a mom.

“Believe that you can run farther or faster. Believe that you’re young enough, old enough, strong enough and so on to accomplish everything you want to do. Don’t let worn out beliefs stop you from moving beyond yourself.” – John Bingham
